To Paint....or Not to Paint...

How to Resin Your Art

Greetings to everyone. I hope everyone is well and life is good for you. You know, I have had many requests for this video and I am announcing to you that it will be released very shortly.

If your art project involves a tumbler, tea pot or vase, etc. you will need to protect the finish, especially if it requires to be food-safe. You will need to apply a coat of epoxy resin by using a rotisserie-style turner as shown here. My video explains how and why. This is a very affordable turner I found on Amazon. You can click on the photo to get more information. I love this spring-type of turner because it grips your cup and prevents any kind of wobbling.

This turner is very affordable (around $26 on Amazon). I have used this type of turner for tea pots and vases too. FYI: Michaels carries a similar turner and I have 2 of those. If you have a Michaels coupon, you can save extra bucks.

I also have a brand of epoxy resin that I would like to recommend. I have tried other brands and I keep coming back to this one. It is crystal clean and cures within 24 hours. The recommendation is 48 to 72 hours but I have never had to wait that long.

In my video, I have tips and secrets that I have learned over the years that will save you a lot of time, so be sure to subscribe so you can watch this video. This is a 2-part epoxy that is easy to use. Click on the photo to go to the Amazon link. Hobby Lobby carries this product too but I haven't seen it there in a while. I order from Amazon and shipping is free for both of these items. Btw, this set of epoxy resin will last you a long time. It only takes a little from each bottle to coat a large cup. More on that in the video too.

Now, to talk about my videos/tutorials. I have set up my tutorials on a platform called "Patreon". I did a lot of research and this is the best way for a win/win for both my customers and myself. I actually think you all get the better end of the stick because I was charging $60 for my in-person classes and with this platform, you get all videos for $5 to $12, depending on your level of membership. Crazy, right? I know! Please look over the three levels because for just a few dollars more, there are extra perks in the deal for you. You will become a "Patron" and you may cancel at anytime, but I hope you won't.

Christmas is coming up and I have lots of ideas for great gifts you can make. So, please join me and help support my efforts in publishing tutorials while you get endless tutorials to learn from.

Here is the link to my website so you can check out my memberships. If you are already a member and reading this blog, thank you so much and I hope you stay tuned for many more projects on the way.

After attending my son's wedding, I had one message in my toast, not only for the bride and groom, but for everyone. And that is, "Remember to appreciate and validate everyone in your life".

That is my blog for today. I hope you all have a great week.
